I got some materials from Great Carve to test with my lasers. You can check out their web page to see the different materials they offer: https://greatcarve.com/
Scratch Acrylic
Scratch acrylic is a piece of thin (1.2 mm) acrylic (~300×240 mm) with one side featuring a coating of difference colors like gold, rose gold, silver etc. It doesn’t take much power and can easily be used with 5W diode lasers. Here is an example:

This is two-color acrylic. Really easy to engrave (done on Creality F2 Pro) at 20W and 10% power. Cutting needed more power, since it’s white. I used 60W at 90% and two passes to cut through it.

Two-color leather
This leather features a second color layer that gets revealed when the top layer is removed. You need to do a material test to get the right values to remove the first layer, but not the second.

Projects
I combined the two types of material to create some board games for my kids.
Sorry! Game
The game board was done once on a 33 cm square slate tile, and once on a brown-silver two-color leatherette from GreatCarve. The figurines were done on silver and rose-gold two-color scratch acrylic.

Chess
Done on two-color leatherette blue/silver and silver and gold scratch acrylic.
