Sculpfun has added a new laser to its range that is aimed at customers who only have small areas to process and primarily engrave. Due to its size, the laser is very small (as is the work surface, of course) and is equipped with a 3W laser module. Of course, you can’t cut well with it, but you can engrave all the better as the focus point is extremely small. Very high-resolution photos are possible with it.

Unboxing
There is not much to do during unboxing, the laser is almost fully assembled. Only the laser module still needs to be assembled.
Here is a size comparison of the really tiny laser module compared to the Sculpfun S70 module:
All that remains to be done is to plug in the power supply unit and establish the USB connection. The laser is then ready for use. A small plate with a thickness of approx. 1.9-2 mm is used for focusing. The magnetic protective cap has a length of 23 mm, so that the total focus distance from the module is approx. 25 mm.

Results
Here is a comparison with the equally powerful iCube 3W module. The accuracy is very good; a few imperfections are recognizable, but I did not adjust the mechanics any further but used it directly after unpacking.
